Two students from Mount Saint Mary Academy in Watchung have earned honors at the 35th Annual DuCret School of Art High School Students Art Show. The show is a highly regarded exhibit at the DuCret School in Plainfield.
Seniors Julia Day of Warren and Kayla Longenecker of Maplewood each received Honorable Mention for their artwork. Day’s acrylic painting entitled 'Ominous Autumn' and Longenecker’s mixed media collage entitled 'Mushroom' will be on display at the show, which opens Friday, February 28 at DuCret School of Art in Plainfield.
Founded in 1926, DuCret is New Jersey's oldest art school and mixes student artists, professionally active artisan instructors, prominent artists and art activists of New Jersey.
