Mount Saint Mary Academy lacrosse player Zoe Wilkins of Plainfield formally signed her college letter of intent in a special ceremony on the Mount campus on November 12. Wilkins will attend the University of New Haven in the fall 2016.

“The Mount lacrosse team has prepared me to be a leader,” said Wilkins. “It has allowed me to contribute by being a friend to my fellow teammates and to help cheer them on. I wanted to make it a great experience for the whole team.”

Wilkins admits to not enjoying lacrosse when she first starting playing in second grade but by the end of the year, she could not get enough of the sport. She began playing for her town team and eventually moved on to club teams. Currently, she plays for the elite tournament team, DEWLAX, which is a team composed of top lacrosse athletes from the area.
