Mount St. Mary Student Awarded Congressional Award
Margot Camino's volunteer efforts recognized.

In recognition of a multitude of accomplishments over a two-year period, Mount Saint Mary Academy senior Margot Camino of Perth Amboy has earned the Congressional Award Bronze Medal.
The honor is given by the United States Congress to young people who demonstrate growth in the areas of volunteer public service, personal development, physical fitness, and expedition/exploration. She received an additional Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for her outstanding volunteer work and service to the community.
Margot’s volunteering initiatives included work at the Perth Amboy Community Center as well as a book drive she coordinated at the Mount prior to Thanksgiving 2011. The drive benefited students at Robert Wilentz School in Perth Amboy. After collecting over 200 books, she spent time in the classroom working with the school’s students on reading comprehension.
