Neighborhood Short-Cut May Get Closed

Residents walking up Kafka Drive to get to Route 22 may have to find another route.

When inspecting a detention basin at the end of Kafka Drive nearby residents had complained about, Deputy Mayor Patrick Boccio discovered another neighborhood concern.

Residents had complained about the basin at the Sept. 17 Township Committee meeting because it had gotten blocked with debris. Boccio said he went to check that the basin had been cleaned.

It had, but while there a resident complained to him about people cutting through a corner of her yard to get to a small trail that leads to Route 22.

At the Oct. 1 Township Committee meeting, Boccio said the township may close off the area to block the short cut. Ā
