New Espionage Thriller Hits Home with Real Life Storyline

Local attorney and author Gene Boffa releases his second book, Deception.

World traveler and renowned attorney Gene Boffa releases his second book, Deception, after leaving fans on the edges of their seats in his first book, The Deed. Boffa brings his two main characters back to life in a story that unfolds against a tapestry of clever plotting, non-stop action, ultimate sacrifices, and true love.

Seemingly taken from current headlines of terrorism and nuclear proliferation, the story follows the discovery that North Korea’s weapons-grade uranium has gone missing and Korean spies have determined that the United States is responsible. The journey continues as ISIS strikes a deal with North Korea for surface to air missiles and the deadly gas sarin. The clock is ticking on Astrid and Mac as North Korea’s ministry of state security begins unraveling their plans and an ISIS ship carrying the sarin and missiles rapidly makes its way towards Syria.

Boffa himself explains, “Deception plucks real life places and current events from daily headlines and packages them in a form that, while fictional, could very likely occur given the deceit and duplicity occurring in the world today.”

“Deception will appeal to readers who love Tom Clancy thrillers or novels where powerful American men save the United States from global dangers. Gene Boffa’s Mac Daniels is an agent with a future, who should be featured in many more novels to come.” Foreword Clarion Reviews
