Ohio Man Wandering in Neighborhood Requests Psychiatric Help

Watchung Police took Timothy Minor, 53, of Akron, Ohio, into custody after receiving complaints of a suspicious person in the neighborhoods around Glen Eagle and Washington Rock roads at 3:21 p.m. May 11.

During the investigation, police discovered five outstanding warrants for Minor, issued by Newark, Elizabeth and Scotch Plains courts, with bonds totaling $1,350 required.

As police were processing Minor, he requested to be taken to Somerset Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation and was released to the Watchung First Aid Squad for transport.
