One-Month-Old Infant Severely Injured, Somerset County Father Arrested For Child Endangerment

A 20-year-old Franklin Township father has been arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

A 20-year-old Franklin Township father has been arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child after police responded to a 9-1-1 call around 8:33 a.m. Thursday morning.

William Figueroa, of Vermont Avenue, was arrested due to the severe injuries his one-month-old infant daughter sustained while she was in his care, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

First responders transported the infant to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where it was found the child had a contusion to her face, head trauma, and a fractured right femoral shaft.

Figueroa’s bail was set at $75,000.
