"The Other Place" closing weekend

(Rahway, NJ) The Other Place by Sharr White continues this weekend at the UCPAC Hamilton Stage in Rahway, NJ. It is produced by Fearless Productions and directed by Steve Lemenille (Clark, NJ) and stage managed by Katie Engel (Rahway, NJ). The Other Place continues Saturday, Nov. 28 at 8:00 PM and Sunday, Nov. 29 at 2:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased at www.ucpac.org or by calling 732.499.8226.

The Other Place is the story of Juliana Smithton a successful neurologist whose life seems to be coming unhinged. Her husband has filed for divorce, her daughter has eloped with a much older man and her own health is in jeopardy. Piece by piece, a mystery unfolds as fact blurs with fiction, past collides with present and the elusive truth about Juliana boils to the surface.

Featured in this Fearless Production are Victoria Steele as Juliana, Brian Carroll as Juliana’s husband, Ian; Lisa Vasfailo as Dr. Teller, Laurel (Juliana’s daughter) and the Woman Stranger; and Matthew Gochman, as Bobby, Richard and male nurse.

The Other Place received two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play and Outstanding Actress In A Play (Laurie Metcalf). Laurie Metcalf won an Obie Award, Performance. Metcalf was nominated for the 2013 Tony Award, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play.
