Cops: Man Acted Suspicious at Bowling Alley

Piscataway resident wanted by South Plainfield court for failing to appear.

Employees at the  had chased him away the day before, but when Alexander Shell reurned to the bowling alley May 22 and started dancing, they contacted Green Brook police.

Police reported finding Shell, 24, of Piscataway, dancing in the parking lot and acting strangely, and took him into custody at about 1:30 p.m. Once at the police station, police discovered a warrant for his arrest issued by South Plainfield municipal court for failing to appear in court May 14, with a $240 bond—as well as a wallet and identification belonging to a young Plainfield man.

Shell gave police several conflicting stories about the wallet, which had not been reported stolen. The wallet was returned to the mother of its owner.

Shell was turned over to South Plainfield police.
