As a means to promote Latino Diabetes Awareness Day, Somerset Medical Center and Robert Wood Johnson will be jointly hosting 'Salsa & Salud.' The event will present the Latino community with important information and knowledge regarding diabetes - a metabolic disease that affects nearly 26 million Americans. 'Salsa & Salud' will also feature fun and healthy activities, including free medical screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations, raffles, live music and dance exercise and giveaways. The event will be held at Bound Brook High School on Saturday May 17th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about the event, please call Natalie Martinez at 908-203-6239. We hope to see you there!
