Search Continues For Missing, Endangered Watchung Woman

WATCHUNG, NJ — The search continues for a missing and endangered Watchung woman on Monday, after she went missing on Thursday.

The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is also now involved in the search, releasing photos of Helen Kim, 47, in an attempt to generate leads.

Kim walked away from her home in The Point apartments on Route 22 West in Watchung on Dec. 6 at about 1:30 p.m. and was seen on surveillance video crossing Route 22 at North Drive in North Plainfield, according to police.

Kim was later seen at the CVS on Park Avenue in Scotch Plains. She left CVS at 6:15 p.m. and has not been seen since, police said.

Kim is described as an Asian woman, 4’11”, 125 pounds with short dark, wavy hair that is white in the front. She was seen in the CVS wearing a beige jacket, blue/gray hat, gray skirt, black leggings, boots, and carrying a brown purse.

Kim is a diagnosed schizophrenic, police report.
