Serial Cell Phone Thieves Wanted By Authorities Statewide
The 2 men have allegedly stolen cell phones across New Jersey, in Bergen County and most recently in North Plainfield, police report.
NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ ā Two men are wanted by state and local authorities for allegedly stealing multiple cell phones across the state in the past two months.
On Aug. 4, two men reportedly entered the Verizon Wireless Store on Cedar Lane in Teaneck in Bergen County. The suspects were captured on video surveillance prior to stealing six cell phones valued at $5,058, New Jersey State Police reported.
The two men also matched the description of the suspects wanted in recent cell phone thefts in Parsippany, Bergenfield, Paramus, Teterboro, Edison, Jersey City, Clifton, Hazlet, and North Plainfield. The merchandise stolen has a total value worth more than $10,000, state police report.

The most recent theft was reported from the T-Mobile store in North Plainfield on Sept. 24 where two Apple iPhones were stolen, North Plainfield Police Department Criminal Investigations Division reported.
The men were also seen driving away in a white colored Ford Mustang convertible top missing a front license plate, North Plainfield Police report.

In each incident, the suspects entered a cellular provider store, cut the security cables from the display models, and left without paying, State Police report.
One of the suspects is described as a medium-skinned black man, with a heavy build and a full beard. The second suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man with a thin build. Both suspects are believed to be in their mid 20s to late 30s.
