Shoplifting, Warrants, Drug Possession Reported In Watchung

Watchung Police reported making shoplifting, warrant and marijuana possession arrests last week in the borough.

WATCHUNG, NJ — Watchung Police reported making shoplifting, warrant and marijuana possession arrests last week in the borough.

Watchung Police Blotter:

On Jan. 28 at 12:31 p.m.: Alexis Thomas, 38, of Plainfield was arrested for having a warrant out of Scotch Plains for $750 following a traffic stop on Route 22 East. She was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on her own recognizance.

On Jan. 23 at 7:33 p.m.: Mohammad Aljibawi, 28, of Clifton was arrested for having an outstanding warrant out of Union for $120 following a traffic stop on Somerset Street. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released after posting bail.

On Jan. 24 at 6:38 p.m.: Terrea Hardin, 31, of Newark was arrested for shoplifting $126.21 worth of merchandise from Target on Route 22 West. Hardin was witnessed concealing merchandise in her shopping cat and trying to leave the store without paying. She was stopped and arrested. She was processed and released on summonses.

On Jan. 21 at 3:22 p.m.: Kuran Johnston, 20, of Plainfield was arrested for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Valley Road. He was processed and released on summonses.
