$100 Removed From Woman's Purse at Walmart
Theft occurred Saturday morning while the victim waited in the cashier's line.
A woman's purse was stolen as she waited in the checkout line at Walmart Saturday morning, Watchung Police said.
According to a police investigation report, a Plainfield woman was in the cashier's line preparing for checkout at about 10:40 a.m. when her pocketbook was removed from her shopping cart.
The police said the purse ultimately was recovered inside the store, however, $100 was missing from the victim's wallet.
