SOMERVILLE ā The Somerset County Board of County Commissioners will hold a ceremony at
8:46 a.m.Ā onĀ Saturday, Sept. 11,Ā to commemorate the 20thĀ anniversary of the terrorist attacks.Ā The public is welcome to attendĀ in person or watch the livestream on Somerset Countyās Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/somersetcountynj).

The ceremony will be held on the steps of the Somerset County Historic Courthouse, followed by the annual wreathĀ presentationĀ at the countyās Memorial Clock Tower, located at the corner of Main and Bridge streets.
"TwentyĀ years ago, our nation was rocked by the terror attacks on New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania,"Ā said Commissioner DirectorĀ Shanel Y. Robinson. "WeĀ came together as a country that terrible day, and it isĀ vitalĀ that we commemorateĀ that spirit of communityĀ on this 20th anniversary as we recover from the historic flooding caused by Hurricane Ida."

Flags at county facilities will be flown at half-staff in accordance with the congressional mandate passed in December 2001.Ā
