Somerset County Man Found Guilty In 2013 Bank Robbery

A 46-year-old Bound Brook man has been convicted of first-degree robbery for the 2013 crime committed at the Wells Fargo Bank.

A 46-year-old Bound Brook man has been convicted of first-degree robbery for the 2013 crime committed at the Wells Fargo Bank located on Union Avenue.

Marc Kirkland will remain lodged in the Somerset County Jail until he is sentenced.

  • On June 29, 2013, defendant Kirkland entered the Bound Brook branch of the Wells Fargo Bank located on Union Avenue.
  • While wearing a mask and gloves, he demanded money from the tellers and threatened that he had a bomb.
  • A witness observed defendant Kirkland exit the bank and was able obtain the license plate from the defendant’s vehicle.
  • When apprehended on July 2, 2014, proceeds from the robbery were discovered inside defendant Kirkland’s vehicle.
