Somerset County Woman Arrested In Narcotics Sting
A 29-year-old Somerset County woman was arrested on Tuesday for possessing a large quantity synthetic cannabinoid and cocaine.
A 29-year-old Hillsborough woman was arrested on Tuesday after the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force received information that she would be in possession of a large quantity of synthetic cannabinoid and cocaine.
Police recovered 10 grams of synthetic cannabinoid and 17 grams of cocaine from Uchenna Rouson Tuesday evening after conducting a traffic stop– the estimated street value of the cocaine was around $1,700, according to a press release from the Somerset County Prosector’s Office. .
The task force set up surveillance at Rouson’s on Renate Drive Tuesday evening and waited for her to leave her home in a Silver Honda Accord with the drugs.

It was then that police conducted a traffic stop on Amwell Rd. – When they let Rouson and her driver know about the narcotics investigation Rouson agreed to allow police to search her bag, according to the release.
She has been charged with second-degree possession with intent to sell in regards to the cocaine and fourth-degree possession for the synthetic cannabinoid. Her bail is set at $50,000.
