The Environmental Education Center provides many entertaining and educational programs for children and adults year around.

The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature as summer wanes in Somerset County. Serpentine of Mine
Tuesday, August 26 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Children age infant to 5 with a parent will enjoy a walk through the Great
Swamp to seek out snakes and learn the role that they play in the ecology of the area.
Fee is $10 per pair & $5 per additional child.

FAMILY & ADULT PROGRAMS
Birding at Buck
Wednesday, August 27 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
Adult birders will meet a Naturalist to Leonard J. Buck Garden in Far
Hills for a morning of bird watching in these extraordinary
gardens.
Fee is $12 per person.

Blue “BOBO (Buy One – Bring One) Fridays” bins now are located at the Environmental Education Center and Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge, as well as at the Somerset County Park Commission headquarters at North Branch
Park in Bridgewater. The public is invited to drop off canned food or personal-care items for donation to Somerset County food banks.
