Streamline Aquatics Club Swimmers Finish Strong
Spring and Summer Tryout Dates Announced
As the USA Swimming 2017 short course season is coming to a close, Streamline Aquatics Club (STAC), located in Branchburg, New Jersey, is celebrating the success of its swimmers. STAC officially began in May of 2013 for private lessons and clinics. The STAC USA Swim Team was later established in September of 2014, by Head Instructor and CEO Brian Greene—or Coach “BG” as his swimmers affectionately refer to him. Coach BG has coached for over 30 years in New Jersey developing swimmers from the Novice level to the Elite National level. Thanks largely to a superb coaching staff and an emphasis on making swimming a rewarding, fun, and challenging experience for each athlete, the STAC team has grown exponentially in the last three years. Today, it is made up of close to 200 swimmers between the ages of 5 and 18, and it is looking to expand its programs—clinics, private lessons, team, and summer league—even more in the coming seasons.
On a perpetual quest for personal best times, STAC swimmers have had an extraordinary season full of both individual accomplishments and team success. Coming off of a very strong presence at the 12 & Under New Jersey Swimming (NJS) Silver/Bronze Region C Championship Meet the weekend of February 17th and 18th, STAC will continue on its quest through the championship meet season. Next up, STAC 13 and over swimmers will compete in the NJS Silver/Bronze Region B Championships the weekend of March 4th and 5th in Trenton, New Jersey. From there, STAC will have a strong contingent of swimmers advancing to 14 & under NJS Junior Olympics at Rutgers the weekend of March 17th and 18th, and for the first time will be competing in the GTSA Spring Championship Meet in Tampa, Florida in April. Unlike many other clubs and teams, STAC swimmers will continue to swim even after championship meet season, taking only a short break as they head into the competitive long course season.
Streamline Aquatics Club is not done growing yet, however. STAC is still looking to expand the team and program even more by adding new swimmers to their competitive teams this upcoming spring and summer. STAC will be holding a number of tryouts in the coming weeks and months for the upcoming long course and summer league seasons. Swimmers who are interested in joining STAC for the long course and/or the summer league seasons will have the opportunity to tryout on March 21st, March 27th, and April 12th. There will also be three additional Summer season only tryouts held on May 7th, 9th, and 15th. Additional tryout information including tryout times will be posted on the Streamline Aquatics Club website (www.swimatstac.com). All swimmers interested, should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to start time to complete paperwork and registration. All tryouts will be held at the Raritan Valley Community College swimming pool in Branchburg, New Jersey. Anyone interested in being part of STAC as it continues to grow both in size and excellence should attend one of the above tryout sessions. Additional information can be obtained by contacting STAC Head Administrator, Karen Johnson (amomof2kidz@gmail.com). At Streamline Aquatics Club, “winning is much more than one’s place at the finish of a race, and we are committed to helping young athletes grow in character, physical development, and skill.”
