Two Charged with Shoplifting at Wal-Mart

Watchung police investigate two incidents.

Watchung police charged Arley Aguilar, 23, of Scotch Plains, with shoplifting at 2:39 p.m. May 10, after security employees reported observing her attempt to shoplift a Nook eReader, a GPS system, and a cowboy hat, valued at $352.98 altogether.

Aguilar was released after posting $150 bond, pending an appearance in municipal court.

Police also charged Michelle Holliday, 19, of Plainfield, with shoplifting from the Wal-Mart at 5:36 p.m. May 10. Wal-Mart security personnel alleged Holliday had taken cosmetics valued at $29.85. Holliday was released after the charge was filed.
