Watchung Families Can Fall For Hayrides And Campfires
Trailside will offer hayrides, campfires, entertainment, hot chocolate and marshmallows on three October dates.
WATCHUNG, NJ — Watchung families can bundle up for an autumn evening filled with hayrides, campfires and marshmallows.
Union County’s Hayrides & Campfires will visit Trailside Nature & Science Center in Mountainside from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, October 4, and Sunday, October 11, and from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, October 16.
Each ticket includes a hayride, entertainment, hot chocolate and marshmallows. Visitors should bring a chair or blanket for the campfire.

At check-in, tickets will be exchanged for numbered passes. Hayrides depart about every 20 minutes, with passes assigned first come, first served.
“Fall is one of the best times to enjoy Union County’s parks,” Union County Commissioner Chairman Joseph C. Bodek said.

Tickets cost $6 for Union County residents and $12 for nonresidents. Advance purchases are required, and tickets will not be sold at the events.
