Watchung To Host National Night Out Event This Week

WATCHUNG, NJ — Residents are invited to celebrate community spirit at Watchung's National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the borough's Farmers Market at Best Lake on Valley Road.

The free event will feature live music by Lost in Place, appearances by special guests, local vendors, food and shopping opportunities, and family-friendly activities, including the Fun Bus.

Community partners, including the Watchung Fire Department, Police Department, and Rescue Squad, will also be on hand to meet residents and showcase their services.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring a chair for the scheduled performances, which will take place from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is part of the nationwide National Night Out campaign, which promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve while celebrating neighborhood connections.
