Watchung Residents Can Weigh In on Hillcrest Road Safety Project July 29
Somerset County engineers will present a timeline, detours and construction staging at the public meeting.

WATCHUNG, NJ — The Somerset County Engineering Division will host a public meeting on Wednesday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. to inform residents about planned improvements to sections of County Route 531, also known as Hillcrest Road, in Watchung.
The meeting will take place inside the Watchung Municipal Building, located at 15 Mountain Blvd. Residents can ask questions, view a slide presentation and hear from county engineers and consultant representatives about the project's timeline, potential detours and construction staging.
The proposed improvements to County Route 531 span from Valley Road to Crestwood Drive and are intended to address road safety concerns identified through data collection, completed studies and engineering analyses, according to the county.
