“This scholarship program is one of the principal reasons for starting Summit Medical Group Foundation,” says Jeffrey LeBenger, MD, FACS, Summit Medical Group Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer. “We are determined to provide medical help to the communities we serve, and to support up-and-coming students who are embarking on a career in the medical profession to change the health and lives of people all over our great state of New Jersey."

The students, all part of Summit Medical Group Foundation’s 2017 Next Generation Scholarship Program, were required to meet the following criteria: All are enrolled in universities across the United States, are in good academic standing, are primary residents of New Jersey and are pursuing studies in medicine or a healthcare-related field. All students have also provided proof of their university enrollment.
