Woman Reports Fraudulent Online Shopping Spree

Green Brook police reports.

A Wischer Lane resident reported receiving notice of suspicious activity on her credit card between Oct. 8 and Oct. 10, according to Green Brook police.

The resident was vacationing in Hawaii when the fraudulant charges were made on her Capital One credit card, she said. According to the bank, the charges were for online purchases including shoes, clothes, jewelry and software. No total of the amount fraudulently charged was available. 

The account was suspended and once the victim returned home, some of the items that had been charged to her account began arriving at her home. The vicitim said she is returning the items, and will provide a detailed listing of items charged.
