1 Killed, 1 Hurt In Passaic Co. Shooting: Prosecutor

PATERSON, NJ — A shooting left one person dead and another injured Saturday night, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities haven't released information on whether there's a potential suspect as of Monday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 8 p.m. Saturday around Clinton Avenue and North 6th Street in Paterson, according to the prosecutor's office. Police found two people at the scene who sustained gunshot wounds — a 36-year-old man and a 54-year-old man.
Officials took them both to St. Joseph's University Medical Center, where the younger man was pronounced dead. The 54-year-old is in stable condition, authorities said Sunday.

The prosecutor's office didn't publicly identify either man but said both live in Paterson. The agency promised more information when it becomes available.
