1 Killed In Passaic County Shooting

Police are still searching for the person who pulled the trigger.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A man is dead following a shooting in Passaic County this week, prosecutors said.

On Thursday, around 8 p.m., Paterson Police responded near Mercer and Franklin streets on reports of shots fired.

Authorities found a 64-year-old Paterson man had been shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

Police have not announced any arrests at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Paterson Police Detective Bureau at 973-321-1120.
