Child, Teen Shot In Passaic Co. Over Halloween Weekend
Both shootings are under investigation.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Two people were shot over the Halloween weekend in Paterson, the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said.
The first victim, a 19-year-old Passaic man, stumbled into the Hackensack University Medical Center around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday with several gunshot wounds, according to officials.
Hospital workers treated the teen's wounds, and called the police.

Investigators learned that the teen had been shot near Third Avenue and East 26th in Paterson, officials said.
The teen's wounds were not fatal, police added, and there is no further information available at this time.

The next day, around 6:30 p.m., Paterson police were called to Matlock Street and Temple Street on reports of another shooting.
Authorities found a child had been shot and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, according to prosecutors.
A crime scene was established near Matlock Street and Temple Street to investigate the shooting.
Police added that the victim, whose age, gender, hometown, or identity was not revealed due to them being underage, survived their wounds.
No arrests have been announced for either of the shootings at this time.
