1 New Coronavirus Death, 2 New Cases In Wayne Township: Mayor

In his July 20 update, Mayor Christopher Vergano announced the newest coronavirus numbers for Wayne Township.

WAYNE, NJ — One Wayne Township resident has died from the coronavirus, and two residents have tested positive as of Monday, according to Wayne Township Mayor Christopher Vergano.

In his daily update, Vergano said the state has advised of the new case and additional test results, bringing totals in the township to 193 deaths and 1,466 positive test results.

The new positives include a 20-year-old man and 52-year-old woman.

In Passaic County, the New Jersey Department of Health is reporting 9 new positive cases across the county as of 1 p.m. on Monday.

The county, according to the NJDOH, now has 17,172 positive test results, 1,081 confirmed deaths and 158 probable deaths.

Across the state, the NJDOH reports 176,963 total coronavirus cases, 13,741 confirmed deaths and 1,974 probable deaths.

Mobile testing sites throughout the county are scheduled up to Friday, Sept. 4 as of Monday.
