Police said they fumigated a police station this past week after arresting two men who were caught doing a lewd act in a New Jersey department store.

The two men, who were infected with "scabies," face lewdness and other charges after they were caught in an alleged sex act on a display bed at a Bed Bath & Beyond, according to NorthJersey.com.

Police were called to the store on Route 3 in Clifton during business hours on Jan. 30 after an employee said the men were engaged in a sex act on the bed, according to nj.com.

Two 28-year-olds, one from Nutley and the other from North Carolina, were charged with lewdness, criminal mischief and possession of marijuana, according to the reports.

Releasing the men's names would violate the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act because both were suffering from a health condition known as scabies.

Officers were exposed to the scabies parasite and were treated at a local hospital, the reports said. The booking area of the Clifton Police Department had to be fumigated, too, the reports said.
