2 New Gyms Welcome Fitness Buffs, Offer Personal Training In Wayne

Just in time to get a head start on your New Year's resolutions, two different fitness and training companies have opened up shop in Wayne.

WAYNE, NJ — Just in time for residents to get a head start on their New Year's resolutions, two different fitness and training brands have opened up shop in Wayne: D1 and F45, which may have slightly different approaches but both promise a great workout.

D1 Training, which was founded nationally in 2001 by former NFL player Will Bartholomew, opened in late November at Willowbrook Mall.

This gym offers training for aspiring youth athletes and for adults, with one-on-one sessions or group activities tailored towards each person's individual goals.

"At D1, we believe in training the entire body as a unit to produce optimal human performance," the website states. "No gimmicks, no fads; we utilize trusted and proven training techniques used to build the world's best athletes and deliver them in age-appropriate programs led by our expert coaches."

D1 is located at 330 Willowbrook Blvd in Willowbrook Mall, next to the Dave & Busters and Yard House restaurant. The gym can be reached at (973) 874-1495.

And, F45 Training celebrated their grand opening on Dec. 2 on Mountain View Boulevard. This gym offers high-intensity group training in a variety of classes, focusing on functionality and improving cardiovascular health.

"Each F45 workout is a unique program that incorporates cardio, resistance-based strength training, or a hybrid of both, all geared toward everyday life," their website states.

"Our goal is to help you become your fittest, strongest and healthiest self."
