2 Teens Dead In Crash Involving Wayne Resident: Prosecutor

Authorities haven't announced any charges involving the double-fatal incident, which remains under investigation.

LITTLE FALLS, NJ — A two-car crash, which involved a Wayne resident, killed two teenagers Friday night in Passaic County. The incident took the lives of Shahriyar Ahmed and Shakeel Ali — both 19-year-olds who lived in Paterson — according to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.

The crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Friday at Woodhull Road and Route 23 in Little Falls, authorities said. A Jeep Grand Cherokee — driven by an 18-year-old Wayne resident — collided with a Mercedes C300, which five people occupied, according to the prosecutor's office.

Information on what led to the crash wasn't immediately available. Patch opted against publicly identifying survivors of the incident unless they've sustained life-threatening injuries or have been charged.

Ahmed was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials took Ali to Saint Joseph's University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Both were passengers in the Mercedes, authorities said.

Officials took the Wayne teen and the three other Mercedes occupants to the hospital for treatment of various injuries.
