3 Men With Weapons At William Paterson University Arrested

The men, all of whom are from Essex County, were arrested in a parking lot on campus at about 3 a.m. Sunday, a spokesman said.

WAYNE, NJ — Three men were arrested early Sunday on charges they brought weapons onto the William Paterson University campus, a spokesman said Monday.

Lamar Turner, of West Orange, Safiyy Robinson, of Newark, and Billy Pierre-Louis, of West Orange, all 20, were charged with weapon possession and possession of marijuana, according to Phillip Sprayberry, a university spokesman.

The three were arrested in a campus parking lot at 3:44 a.m., Sprayberry said.

Sprayberry did not confirm the amount or type of weapons the men allegedly had and said an investigation was ongoing. He declined further comment.
