Multi-Phase Classroom Renovation Project Begins At Wayne Hills, Wayne Valley
The $455,000 project is part of a multi-phase initiative that will see every science classroom renovated over the next 3 years.

WAYNE, NJ — Three new science labs are coming to Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley high schools.
The Board of Education recently approved the $455,000 expense to renovate the labs. It is the first phase of a multi-year project that will lead to a complete renovation of all high school science classrooms in three years.
Physics rooms 203 and 205 at Valley and a new life sciences lab at Hills will be renovated first. Two flat-screen interactive video displays featuring touch-screen input will be installed in each room.

These first three rooms will function as the pilot program for the project.
"Users of this new Phase 1 spaces can provide important observations based on actual experiences that will positively influence the next phase of the project," district officials said.

Officials said the new labs will give Wayne students an advantage in a "competitive world."
"This purposeful investment in lab facilities is intended to assure Wayne Township high school students that they will enter the post high school phase of their academic careers with valuable practice in current scientific methods and team problem solving while using the latest technology," officials said.
