$30K Drug Bust Conducted By Wayne Cops, State Police

Three people were arrested after police found drugs, guns, and cash during raids.

WAYNE, NJ — The Wayne Police Department’s Special Operations Unit played a part in a drug bust that yielded tens of thousands of dollars, an ample amount of narcotics, guns, and the arrest of three people.

In 2025, Wayne police learned of a drug-dealing ring in North Jersey. They partnered with state police and Homeland Security officials and launched an investigation.

Investigators identified three suspects, and on Feb. 17, they conducted several raids at multiple East Orange locations.

Police found 1.5 kilos of cocaine, 20 bags of heroin, an ounce of meth, as well as drug distribution instruments, including scales and cutting agents, according to investigators.

Additionally, police found $30,000 in drug money, a .38 caliber handgun, and a .556 caliber assault rifle, officials said.

Three people were arrested for their involvement in the drug ring: Fabian Ramos-Torres, 34, of East Orange, Jimmy Candelario, 44, of Linden, and Nydia Rivera, 47, of Newark.

All of the suspects were hit with a slew of drug charges, including possession with intent to distribute near a school, maintaining a drug manufacturing facility, and more.

Candelario and Rivera also face several firearm-related charges.
