9 Candidates Vying For Wayne Board Of Education Seats

Three board members have expiring terms in 2021. Here's who's running for those seats.

WAYNE, NJ — Three seats on the Wayne Board of Education are up for election in 2021, and the race will include a mix of incumbents and new candidates.

Eileen P. Albanese, Matthew Giordano and Stacey Scher will all look to retain their seats in the 2021 election, but they'll face six challengers, including three who are running as a bracketed ticket.

Joint bracketing was approved by Gov. Phil Murphy in 2018, and allows candidates to "circulate a nominating petition jointly and be bracketed together on a ballot," according to the New Jersey School Boards Association.

Candidates who are bracketed together share position on the ballot as a group, and their names will be printed together as well.
