PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Two men were hospitalized this weekend after being shot in Passaic County, authorities say.
On Sunday, around 2:15 a.m., police were called to North Main Street and Haledon Avenue in Paterson on reports of a shooting.
Authorities discovered evidence of a shooting, and later learned that two men had arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center with bullet wounds.
The two men, 25 and 36, were treated for nonfatal gunshot wounds.
The investigation is underway, and anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or may have additional information is asked to call the Paterson Police Detective Bureau at 973-321-1120.
Additionally, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office asks anyone with additional information about this incident to contact its tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO or tips@passaiccountynj.org.
This shooting comes exactly a week after six people were shot in Paterson on Mother’s Day, two fatally. Authorities have yet to announce any arrests in connection with that shooting.
