WAYNE, NJ — Former Caldwell University women’s basketball standout and Wayne native Mackenzie (Lynch) Emmons will be inducted into the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame this fall, university officials announced Monday.
Emmons is one of six members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2026, which will be honored during an induction dinner on Friday, Nov. 6, at Hanover Manor in East Hanover.
A 2009 Caldwell graduate, Emmons scored 1,232 points during her three seasons with the Cougars, placing her 15th in program history. The forward earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference honors three times.
Emmons averaged a double-double for her Caldwell career, recording 15.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Her 814 career rebounds rank eighth in school history.
She also remains Caldwell’s career leader in free throws made, sinking 453 shots from the foul line. Her career free-throw percentage of 73.3 percent ranks ninth in program history.
Emmons and fellow 2026 inductee Torey (Jones) Chatman will become the first two Caldwell women’s basketball players inducted whose careers primarily occurred during the university’s NCAA Division II era, which began with the 2002-03 season.
Before playing for Caldwell, Emmons attended DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne. Now, she is married to Tyler Emmons, a 2011 Caldwell graduate and former member of the university’s men’s basketball team.
“This year’s class includes a set of student-athletes whose abilities on and off the field and court have long warranted their induction,” Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics Mark A. Corino said. “They all achieved many individual honors, but they were also leaders on some of the most successful teams in our history.”
Joining Emmons and Chatman in the 2026 class are former men’s soccer player Andrew Fraser, softball player Katie (Jackson) Scull, volleyball player Lauren Roth and former women’s basketball head coach Linda Cimino.
Cimino, now the head women’s basketball coach at Dartmouth College, earned a program-record 128 victories during her eight seasons leading Caldwell. She recently made a gift to the university that will fund a complete refurbishment of its basketball locker room.
The inductees were nominated by administrators, coaches, alumni and supporters before being selected by a panel of university employees, athletic department staff, coaches and distinguished alumni.
Tickets to the Nov. 6 dinner cost $150 per person, while reserved tables for 10 are available for $1,500. Tickets can be purchased through Caldwell University’s registration page or by calling the athletic department at 973-618-3260.
Proceeds will support the Cougar Pride General Fund, which funds Caldwell’s degree-completion program and improvements to its intercollegiate athletic programs.
Established in 2010, the Caldwell University Athletics Hall of Fame will have 51 members following this year’s induction.
