Car Shooting Hospitalizes Man On North Jersey Highway, Cops Say

A man was shot "multiple times," according to officials.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A man was hospitalized this weekend after a car was shot out on a major North Jersey highway, police said.

On Saturday, around 3:45 a.m., Passaic police were called to Route 21 Northbound near milepost 10.9 on reports of a shooting.

Authorities discovered "evidence of a shooting with a vehicle" as well as a 39-year-old Garfield man who'd been "shot multiple times."

The man was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for nonfatal injuries.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and as of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been announced.
