Appeals Panel Upholds Ruling In Wayne Salary Dispute: Report
A former Wayne Health Department supervisor's grievance over a raise he never received was upheld by a New Jersey appeals panel.
WAYNE — An appeals panel has sided with former Health Department Supervisor Thomas Cantisano, upholding a ruling against the township, which refused to award Cantisano a 7.5 percent raise, according to a northjersey.com report.
Last year, the township sued a 25-member supervisors' union to renounce an arbitration award in favor of Cantisano. According to the report, the terms of his employment were eventually reached after more than a year of negotiation.
Cantisano, who was vice president of the union and helped the deal get made, never received the aforementioned raise, thus filed a grievance that was sustained by an arbitrator.
