Art Teacher Named Wayne Educator Of The Year
The Wayne Education Association honored teachers from every school recently. The Educator of the Year will receive a trip to Cape May.

WAYNE, NJ — Fourteen teachers were honored as the district's top educators, while one was honored above her peers as the Educator of the Year.
Mary Beth Kopacz was named the Wayne Education Association's Educator of the Year for her willingness to be "a team player" and "collaborates with her colleagues throughout the day." The WEA represents the school district's teachers.
Kopacz teaches art at John F. Kennedy Elementary School.

Staff said Kopacz is "keenly aware that all children exhibit different talents and that they each need a place to shine."
The WEA awarded Kopacz with a "much-deserved" vacation to Cape May in order to "rest and rejuvenate," the union said in a statement.
