Attempted Murder Charges Filed After Shots Fired At Mother's Ale House In Wayne
A South Hackensack man is charged with attempted murder after he fired shots at three people in Wayne, the Passaic County Prosecutor said.
WAYNE, NJ — A Bergen County man has been charged with three counts of attempted murder following an investigation into shots fired on Sept. 5 outside Mother's Ale House in Wayne Township.
Robert Jackson, 33, of South Hackensack, is alleged to have fired shots at three people outside the establishment around 2:10 a.m. on Sept. 5.
An investigation into the report of shots fired determined that Jackson fired a handgun "several times" in the direction of a 20-year-old male from Budd Lake, New Jersey, a 22-year-old male from Westfield, New Jersey, and a 19-year-old male from Sprint Lake, New Jersey, the prosecutor said.

No one was injured during the shooting, and the prosecutor said Jackson fled the area in a car after firing shots.
Wayne and South Hackensack police issued a warrant for Jackson following the investigation, and he was arrested at 10:03 p.m. in Sept. 7 in South Hackensack.

The sentencing exposure on each count of first degree attempted murder is 10-20 years in New Jersey State Prison with 85 percent of the term to be served before parole eligibility, pursuant to the No Early Release Act, and five-years parole supervision.
In addition to the attempted murder charges, Jackson faces charges on unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and a "certain persons not have weapons" charge.
The State has filed a motion for pretrial detention that will be heard on Monday, the prosecutor said.
