Author Boris Fishman to Visit Wayne Hills High School Oct. 7 and Discuss Novel
A 1997 graduate of Wayne Hills High School, Fishman will discuss his novel "A Replacement of Life."

Boris Fishman, a Soviet émigré and Wayne Hills High School alum, will visit the high school on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 12:30 p.m. to discuss his novel “A Replacement Life” with students and some of his former teachers.
His novel, published by Harper in June of 2014 is a dark, moving, and beautifully written saga about family, honor, and justice. The New York Times’ Patricia T O’Connor referred to it as a bold, ambitious and wickedly smart debut novel.
Fishman’s other writings have appeared in several publications including The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine and Book Review, The New Republic, The Nation, Harper’s, Vogue, The London Review of Books and Wall Street Journal .

A 1997 graduate of Wayne Hills High School, Fishman served as editor-in-chief of The Patriot Press, the school publication and The Lantern, the school’s literary publication.
He received a degree in Russian literature from Princeton University. Afterward, he was on the editorial staff of The New Yorker and has established a proven career in journalism prior to publishing his first novel.
