Bayer to Relocate to Hanover

Company will begin moving employees to site in 2013.

Bayer HealthCare will consolidate its East Coast businesses to its site in Hanover Township. About 2,500 employees, including those from the company's Wayne site, will move to the site in mid-2013, NJ.com reported Thursday.

Town officials and business leaders were hopeful that Bayer would have chosen as the place to consoldate its East Coast business sites. Bayer the consolidation move in early April.

Several council candidates spoke of the need to more businesses in Wayne as part of their election platforms at a candidates forum Thursday.
