Board will Discuss 2013-14 Budget Tuesday Night

A special meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Budget will be approved at another public meeting on Wednesday.

The Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. to discuss the district’s 2013-14 school budget.

The meeting will be held at the school district administrative office on Nellis Drive.

“We wanted to add another meeting to the calendar to give residents another chance to find out all they can about the budget,” said board President Mitchell Badiner.

The average homeowner’s school taxes may increase $190 if the Board approves a $131.6 million tax levy. The projected tax impact to residents due to increases in educational programs, services and fixed costs is $129. 

The budget will be approved at a special public meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.
