Bow Tie Preakness Theater To Close Sunday
The movie theater's lease has ended and won't be renewed.

WAYNE, N.J. — The Bow Tie Wayne Preakness Cinema will close Sunday.
Bow Tie Cinemas announced on its website that the movie theater's lease has ended and the theater's last day of operation is Sunday.
Cablevision operated a Clearview Cinemas sold the Wayne theater and 20 other to the Connecticut-based Bow Tie Cinemas in 2013.

Local residents expressed their disappointment with the move Wednesday night on the Facebook group I'm From Wayne.

Bow Tie billed itself as a more family-friendly option for moviegoers, with reduced ticket prices on Tuesdays and a family four-pack option.
Bow Tie owns six other movie theaters in North Jersey, including one in Kinnelon and two in Montclair.
