Boys' Baseball Team Wins District Championship

The Wayne Police Athletic League’s Under 8 Team won the district championship recently.

Connor McNally hit a walk-off single in the final game to win the championship 7-6.

In another game, the team came back to win 14-13. The boys were down 13-10 in the bottom of the sixth inning with two outs and no one on base.

Frankie Cifalino hit a double, Joshua Shpungin walked, and McNally hit a 3-run homerun to tie the game.

Robbie Hughes hit a single and stole a base. Steve Rubino hit a walk-off single to win the game 14-13.
