Brooke Artesi, owner of Sunshine Prosthetics & Orthotics in Wayne, is 1 of 4 finalists being recognized as a leader in the O&P profession

An amputee since the age of 15, Brooke Artesi has devoted her life and profession to helping other amputees reach their potential.
“I lost my leg in a traumatic accident when I was 15 years old and that’s a big part of my drive- helping other people, understanding what they are going through. That’s why it works so well. Patients relate to me. They want to know how to live like me. That’s my drive – the patients and their trusting me.”
The Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America is an industry recognized organization created to advance the independent OP profession with educational seminars, webinars, resources for legislative issues and outcomes, educational resources and publications for practitioners. This is the 2nd annual award, to be presented at the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association assembly on September 26th in Vancouver, B.C.
