The High Meadow Mountain Poetry Series features two poets and includes an Open Mic. Hosted by Paul Nash & Denise LaNeve, representing the North Jersey Literary Community and the Poets of the Palisades. This event is free and all are welcome!

Nancy Lubarsky, a retired NJ school superintendent, holds a doctorate in English Education. She has been published in various journals including Exit 13, Lips, Tiferet, Poetic, Stillwater Review and Paterson Literary Review. Nancy has received recognition from the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Awards and from the Anna Davidson Rosenberg Poetry Awards, and has been nominated three times for a Pushcart Prize. Nancy is the author of three books: Tattoos (Finishing Line), The Only Proof (Kelsay Press), and her most recent, Truth to the Rumors (Kelsay Press), a finalist for the 2023 Laura Boss Narrative Poetry Award. Her poetry/film collaboration, The Mess (with Sophia Cansalvo) won first place in the 2025 Moving Words Showcase. She was also selected to participate in Poetry X Hunger, where poets combat food insecurity with hands-on experiences and poetic responses. Both projects were sponsored by Arts by the People. Three of her poems  appeared in the  journal, The Echoes We Make: A Men's Appreciation Anthology, published  by Quillkeepers Press. A lifelong New Jerseyan, Nancy lives in Cranford with her husband and dog, Penny.

As of September 1, 2026, David Messineo is among the ten longest-serving poetry editors and literary magazine publishers still active in the United States of America. He started in these fields as a poetry editor with Images in December 1979, and as a literary magazine publisher and founder of Alternative Motifs in September 1981. Since December 1987, David has been the founding and ongoing editor/publisher of Sensations Magazine, which celebrates its 40th year of operation in 2027. With Sensations Magazine, he has been a three-time award recipient in the national American Literary Magazine Awards, including First Place Awards in 1994 and 1996. In 2009, David received a New Jersey State Jefferson Award for Public Service from the Governor’s Office for his work on Sensations Magazine; and in 2011, he received from the Advocates for New Jersey History the William M. Dwyer Award for Journalism in New Jersey History, for his Rediscovering America in Poetry Research Series within Sensations Magazine, and his three separate Lafayette Township Heritage Research Series publications.
