Candidate Drops Out of Board of Education Race

Carol Dipasquale has withdrawn from the election. Five candidates, including two incumbents, remain.

Carol Dipasquale has dropped out of the Board of Education election, school district officials have confirmed.

Five candidates remain in the race for three seats: Incumbents Kim Essen and Donald Monteyne and challengers Catherine Kazan, Michael Bubba, and Eileen Albanese. Incumbent Jane Hutchinson is not seeking re-election.

A phone number for Dipasquale was not listed. She could not be reached for comment.

Residents will have a chance to meet the individuals at a candidates night on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the municipal building from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Wayne Council of Parent Teacher Organizations is sponsoring the event.

Residents can cast their votes for the candidates during the general election on Nov. 6.
